"One God, One Purpose is a vibrant community where young people come together to grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and make a positive impact in our church and local community. Through engaging activities and meaningful discussions, we aim to empower and equip our youth to live out their faith in Jesus boldly in today's world. We are on a journey together in discovering God's love and purpose for our lives."
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
I’ve been going to The Highlands for a really long time and I have seen the church’s up’s and its downs. But, this church has helped me through all of my struggles in my life. I love this church and I love the people of the church. The people of the church are so encouraging; they will pray for you whenever you need it and they will love you for being you. The youth group is amazing - the way you can be relaxed and learn about God and be open with everybody. So, when people ask me what the Highlands means to me, I tell them that the Highlands means everything to me.
Getting to be a part of the Highlands and the Youth Group is one of the greatest blessings in my life. I love everyone there and will forever be thankful for the impact they've had on my life. You leave there with advice, new perspectives, and understandings for your everyday life outside of church. I've happily been able to expand my christian faith while being at the Highlands. This group has allowed me to be open and personal about myself and situations I face, without feeling uncomfortable or judged. The music speaks to you in ways I couldn't explain. You really feel home while being there, whether that's worshipping on Sunday morning or getting together for youth on Wednesday nights
"The Highlands is exactly what the slogan says it is a place where "you can come as you are and leave changed." The Highlands is one of the least judgmental places I have ever been. We take bikers, hillbillies and everything in between. The Highlands is home and always will be. No matter how many others churches I've gone too the Highlands is the one I come back too because it's not just a building it's a home and the congregation is our family."
