A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, and he has called West Tennessee home since1997.
As a young man, Joe struggled with numerous addictions.
A pattern of hard, fast living came to a breaking point in 2005 when he almost lost his family due to a meth addiction. In December of that year he asked Jesus to come into his life. That day began a process of life-long transformation into a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Because Jesus radically changed his life, Joe is passionate about helping others find freedom in Christ.
Joe was ordained as a chaplain in 2016. God’s providence opened doors for him to step up as pastor of the Highlands Church in November of 2023.
Joe and his wife Carrie live in Henderson, Tennessee. They have two adult children: Dawson, and Chandler, a daughter in love: Somer, and a beautiful grandson: Gabriel.
